b) Ancient Ruins (Roman): The Roman Senate built a number of buildings and temples in Turkey. While most of them are in ruins now, the tourism department of the country has been able to preserve whatever is left. Visiting these is a feast for the eyes also proving the advanced archeological technology that was in place.
c) Ancient Ruins (Greek): History states that the country was ruled by the Greeks before it was taken over by the Romans. Western Turkey is full of ruins left behind by the famous city of Troy. There are some huge structures to see and marvel.
d) The Caves: Found in the Central Anatolia Goreme, the caves are a direct result of the rich culture that the Turkish have. The houses here can be dated as far as 4 A.D. and surprisingly, people still reside in them. Again, it proves that the Turkish were experts at whatever they did.
e) Mosques: Turkey is primarily a Muslim country which is why there exist a number of mosques across it. Some of these have been built very beautifully and are worth a visit. Two of these which deserve special mention are The Blue Mosque and The Suleymaniye Mosque.
f) Natural Beauty: Turkey has some wonderful natural location to offer to its visitors. Lake Van is one such location and is not only beautiful but also very relaxing. Apart from the water bodies, there is the famous Mount Ararat which has perfectly shaped peaks for which it is known throughout the world.
g) Food: Similar to the Malaysian restaurants, Turkish cuisines are a must try especially for people who come in from far off locations. They are known for their simplicity and are mostly comprising of herbs and spices. Anchovies, a variety of fish are best cooked in this region of the world. Also available are a number of wonderfully sweet dishes.
